Recently the Indian Council of Medical Research has launched Diagnostic kit which helps in detection of neglected infectious disease in our lifestock.
ICMR's Pune based National Institute of virology in collaboration with Zydus Cadila introduced a diagnostic kit.

This kit will enable the detection of outbreaks of dangerous and life threatening diseases in the animal population as they are often the host or Reservoir spreading the infection to human who come in close contact with them .
This kit justifies the sentence "A stitch in time saves nine" as it helps in the early detection of disease so that people can take early action regarding the disease. To eliminate the disease it is important to maintain a constant Vigilance to appropriate diagnosis robust surveillance, monitoring and reporting mechanism.
This is useful for the people living in distant places because this people can't access the health care on time so they suffer, as proper treatment is not on time. Hence, this kit will detect the disease and timely diagnosis and treatment will help them cure.
They provide result within 2.5 to 3 hours and are both highly sensitive and specific.
For example: the Japanese encephalitis leading to 226 death this year. Timely detection of Japanese encephalitis is must needed in public health intervention as one in four cases can prove fatal. Detests user-friendly and detection is possible within 4 hours.
The virus is transmitted through more than 15 species of culex mosquito pre dominantly found in rural and semi urban settings where human lives in close proximity to this host.
This kit could be a boon for the public sector as there are many rural areas in India where proper treatment and diagnosis is not received.
